The Parks Department provides a comprehensive, year-round recreational activity program for residents of all ages. Parks is the focal point for residents seeking information and referral on recreational and park activities.
Parks also plans and manages City parks and recreational facilities for community use. Youth and adult athletic programs are the major users of park facilities. the City also hosts many state, national, and international athletic events.
The Parks Department works closely with the 3 school districts serving Blaine in the provision of community school programs. The City also uses many school facilities for recreation programs.
The Senior Citizen Program was established to meet the leisure needs of seniors. The City has a beautiful Senior Center, which serves as a focal point for a wide variety of senior activities.
