Adult Sports

The Blaine Parks and Recreation Department gives adults the opportunity to stay active, offering activities year-round in men's, women's and co-rec leagues. Teams are divided into leagues with varying levels of competitiveness, providing enjoyment for adults of all skill levels.

Individuals who want to join a team can simply submit a request with their contact information to Jerome Krieger. The player will then be placed on a list for teams looking for players.

Blaine offers summer men's, women's, and co-rec softball.  Games are played at Airport and Aquatore Parks.  Fee includes softballs, umpires, and tax.  Registration begins in July and games begin in early August.

Co-Rec Volleyball


This is a non-officiated recreational league in conjunction with the City of Fridley.  Players must be 18 years old.  Games are held at Roosevelt Middle School (Blaine) and Hayes Elementary School (Fridley).  Registration begins in July and games begin in December.

​The City of Blaine has teamed up with Anoka-Hennepin Community Education for men's and women's volleyball leagues.  Leagues are offered in power, intermediate, and fun levels.  Register with Anoka-Hennepin Community Education.
