Lawn Sprinkling Restrictions Now In Place

The city’s sprinkling restrictions are as follows:
Year-round, odd-even sprinkling days - Residents with an even numbered address can sprinkle on even numbered days. Residents with an odd numbered address can sprinkle on odd numbered days.

No sprinkling between 10AM and 6PM - From May 15 until September 15 no sprinkling is allowed between 10AM and 6PM. This is the hottest part of the day and most water is lost to evaporation.

Latest Update:

June 23, 2021 10:10 AM

The City of Blaine is currently under an odd/even watering ban with no watering at all between 10AM and 6PM every day. We are using every well to pump as fast as we can to keep up with demand. We are continually monitoring water levels in our system and will communicate any changes to watering bans through all City communication channels.

With this much water flowing through the water mains, we are experiencing some discolored water just as we do when we flush fire hydrants in the spring. The discoloring is caused by the iron breaking loose as the water scours the water main. While unsightly, it is safe to bathe in, drink, and cook with. Please help us by making sure your neighbors are aware of the current watering restrictions and keep outdoor water use to a minimum while this drought continues.
