Notice of Public Hearing Before the Blaine City Council, Case: 20-0024

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Council of the City of Blaine, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on the following application: 

CASE: 20-0024 APPLICANT: Centerview Elementary/Spring Lake Park Schools, ISD #16

LOCATION: 10365 Davenport Street NE (see map)

PETITION: The applicant is requesting a conditional use permit amendment to construct a new outdoor play area/greenspace, a zero lot line establishing a shared driveway access between sites and 25-foot light standards in a RR (Regional Recreation) zoning district. The location of this new play area is on the former velodrome site at the National Sports Center.

HEARING DATE AND TIME: Said hearing will take at Blaine City Hall Council Chambers, located at 10801 Town Square Drive, Blaine, Minnesota, 55449 on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 7:30PM. You have been notified because the proposed application is within 350 feet of your property. The City of Blaine is required under Minnesota State law to notify all property owners within 350 feet. All interested persons are invited to attend and be heard. If you cannot attend, please submit your comments to the Planning Department by mail, fax (763) 717-2634, or email to Pat Robinson at probinson@blainemn.gov no later than 4:30PM on Thursday, July 2. Persons who have questions may call the Planning Department at (763) 785-6180. Unsigned or anonymous comments will not be included in the public record.

On the day of the meeting, public comments will be taken by emailing PublicComment@BlaineMN.gov or by calling 763-717-2782. The council will hear public comment in person at Blaine City Hall during the public hearing as well as remotely through the zoom webinar platform for those who wish to participate remotely. Information on how to participate remotely will be posted on the council calendar at BlaineMN.gov/Calendar.
