Usually Blaine finds itself at the center of the sports world each July. Target USA Cup and the 3M Open brings in upwards of 350,000 spectators and large viewing audiences from all across the world. Last summer Target USA Cup was canceled and the 3M Open was held without spectators both due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Both events will not only take place this summer but have spectators in attendance. USA Cup will be limited this year to teams based in the United States, they are expecting over 700 teams to participate. The 3M Open will be full go this summer and tickets are on sale now. Blaine residents can get discount tickets for the Wednesday Pro-Am event at https://fevo.me/blaine.
Blaine residents can expect increased traffic and certain road closures during the events. But these events are part of what makes Blaine special and they have helped Blaine grow into the destination city that it is today.
Together the 3M Open and Target USA Cup have an estimated $85 million economic impact on the area.
