    Recent City Council Approvals

    Final and Preliminary Plat Approvals

    • Granted a final plat approval to subdivide approximately 1.16 acres into three lots to be known as Alexander Woods Fourth Addition at 1000 113th Avenue.
    • Granted final plat approval to create one lot and two outlots to be known as Davis Partners at 12191 Ulysses Street.
    • Granted a preliminary plat approval and a conditional use permit to subdivide 19.24 acres into 16 single family lots, one outlot, and two lots for existing homes to be known as Meadowland Estates West at 2741 and 2775 125th Avenue. 

    Conditional Use Permit Approvals

    • Granted a conditional use permit amendment to construct a 578 square foot addition to the food shelf associated with Way of the Lord Church at 804 131st Avenue.
    • Granted a conditional use permit for Medway Support Services to occupy and operate a mental health therapy use focused on children and adolescents at 3629 95th Avenue.
    • Granted a conditional use permit for TPH Blaine LLC to allow indoor recreation and non-classroom personalized instructional services for an athletic training facility at 3890 Pheasant Ridge Drive Suite 180.

    Future of Highway 65 in Blaine


    On May 19 the City shared the initial plan for Highway 65 to the public and fielded questions via a Facebook Live Town Hall. Five days later, the City hosted an in-person open house at the National Sports Center to get community input on the plan. For those who missed these events you can view the future plans and any updates at BlaineMN.gov/ThriveOn65.

    BlaineBizMN Social Media Highlights Small Businesses


    In celebration of National Small Business Week which ran from May 2-5, Blaine’s social media pages featured small businesses around the City for the entire month of May. Twenty-eight businesses from around Blaine, who employ between 1 and 40 people each, participated in this year’s event. The Small Business Administration (SBA) calls small businesses the “lifeblood of the U.S. economy.” National Small Business Week has been celebrated around the country for over 50 years.
