Blaine Hosts the Most Successful 3M Open to DateTournament officials called the 2023 its most successful year since the 3M Open started in Blaine five years ago. Ten of golf’s top 50 players golfed in this year’s event and 2022’s 3M Open winner, Tony Finau, returned to defend his championship drawing crowds of golf enthusiasts. Helping boost attendance the 3M Open created more activities for families at the 3M Open Fan Hub and more experiences for those they consider “golf curious” like the 21 and over Stilly Party Deck for attendees more focused on enjoying time with friends. The estimated economic impact of the 3M Open is over $50 million. In Blaine that impact can be seen in fully booked hotels and increased traffic at local restaurants and retailers.
