Governor Issues Stay at Home Order
Message from Captain Dan Pelkey, Blaine Emergency Management Director:
This afternoon Governor Tim Walz issued a stay at home order to help slow the spread of COVID-19. This stay at home order will go into effect at 11:59PM on Friday March 27 and last through 5PM on April 10. During this time, Minnesotans will still be able to leave their home for essential trips, such as to the grocery store or the doctor or to care for a person in need. However, we all need to do our part to limit our movement and contact as much as possible during this two-week period.
Your Blaine Emergency Management team was activated on March 11 and has been working non-stop to meet the daily needs of Blaine residents and to ensure the continuation of essential city functions. We know that many of you have questions about what the next few weeks hold. Please go to the city website for the most up to date information.
BlaineMN.gov/COVID19 is full of important information for Blaine residents as we navigate this unprecedented time together.
Please remember that we are all in this together and as Governor Walz said, Together as One Minnesota we can save lives.
Ongoing Updates
