Skating Rinks Update All City of Blaine skating rinks are now open. Warming houses are expected to open soon. Warming houses have been closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Adult Bean Bag LeagueMax 6 teams per league
Join us for a fun evening out. Teams of two adults of any gender will participate in 6 weeks of double header matches, plus a final week of playoffs. Pick between our Recreational and Competitive divisions. Match times start as early as 6:30 pm, but may vary. Teams will be required to bring their own bean bags. Gift cards will be awarded to the league champ and runner up. Space is limited to 6 teams per league. Players must be 18 years old.

Summer Employment
Recreation Leader, Youth Coach
Under direction of Recreation Managers and Coordinators, Youth Coaches are responsible for implementing the summer recreational youth softball, t-ball, and soccer programs. Youth Coaches will be assigned one team in each age bracket. The optimal applicant will demonstrate knowledge of youth sports, strong leadership skills, understand the developmental stages of youth, have the ability to motivate and manage youth, and show good judgment and enthusiasm. Training in First Aid is provided.
Tentative Schedule:Mon - Thu, 9AM-3PM and 5:30- 8:30PM (approximately 25 hrs/week) Program Dates: June 14 - August 10 Apply Online
Recreation Leader, PlayNet Blaine
Under direction of Recreation Managers and Coordinators, PlayNet Leaders are responsible for leading PlayNet participants in games, arts & crafts, sports, and other planned activities at a specific site or sites. The optimal appli-cant will demonstrate strong leadership skills, understand the developmental stages of youth, have the ability to motivate and manage youth, and show good judgment and enthusiasm. PlayNet leaders will be assigned to the PlayNet Blaine Summer Playground Program. Training in First Aid is provided.
Training Dates: May 27 and June 11 Program Dates: June 14 - August 12 (no program June 23 & 24, July 1 & 2) Tentative Schedule: Mon - Thu, 9AM-4PM (approximately 30 hrs/week)

Park Attendant Under direction of Recreation Managers, Park Attendants are responsible for beach supervision (no lifeguard certification), general cleanliness of the park, monitoring the pavilion, boat rental, concessions, parking permits and attending to park users. Three park attendants work during the majority of the day. The optimal applicant will demonstrate strong leadership skills, good communicator, and show good judgment and enthusiasm. Park Attendants will be trained in all aspects of the park. First aid/AED training is held on May 27.
Schedule: Daily, 9AM-9PM (6 - 8 hrs/day) Dates: May 28 - August 29 Hours per Week: 25 - 40
