22-04: 2022 Street Reconstructions

Project Area 3: (129th Avenue)

129th Avenue from 180 feet West of Isanti Street to Radisson Road

Project Status as of 9/9/2022

The project consists of three separate project areas, which can be seen on the 22-04 Project Area Map.

Project Area 1

The contractor has completed restoration within the project area. The final lift of bituminous pavement will be installed during the week of September 12.

Project Area 2

Construction activities during the week of September 12 will include:

Paving bituminous driveways
Irrigation system repairs
Boulevard grading and restoration

Project Area 3

Westbound 129th Avenue will be closed starting Tuesday, September 13 from approximately 200 feet west of Isanti Street to Radisson Road (see detour map at BlaineMN.gov/22-04). Construction during the week of September 12 will include:

Reclaiming of the existing bituminous pavement
Removal of the existing concrete curb and gutter
Partial driveway removals

22-05: 89th Avenue and Davenport Area Street Reconstructions

Baltimore Street from 85th Avenue to 89th Avenue
Davenport Street from 85th Avenue to 89th Avenue
89th Avenue from Central Avenue (MN-65) to Davenport Street
87th Avenue from Central Avenue (MN-65) to Hastings Street
Eldorado Street from 85th Avenue to 87th Avenue
Goodhue Street from 85th Avenue to 87th Avenue
Goodhue Street from 87th Avenue to northerly dead end
Jenkins Court from 85th Avenue to the cul de sac

Project Status as of 9/9/2022

The project consists of 5 phases, which can be seen on the project phasing map below. Phases 1-3 are anticipated to be completed this year, with phases 4-5 being constructed in 2023 (it is possible that portions of phase 2 are not constructed until 2023). The completion date for all work taking place in 2022 is November 4.

Phase 1

Construction activities during the week of September 12 will include:

Storm sewer installation
Hydrant replacements
Partial driveway removals (typically 10 to 15 feet from behind back of curb)
Street grading

Phase 2

Construction is likely to begin in Spring of 2023. More information will be mailed to these residents in the coming weeks.

Phase 3

Construction is anticipated to begin the week of September 19.

Phases 4-5

Construction will begin in Spring of 2023. More information will be mailed to these residents in the coming weeks.

22-06: Hidden Oaks Street Reconstructions

98th Avenue from Hamline Avenue to Xebec Street
98th Lane from Wake Street to Yalta Street
99th Avenue from Wake Street to Xebec Street
99th Lane from Xebec Street to Austin Street
Hamline Avenue from Edgewood Road to North cul-de-sac
Wake Street from 98th Avenue to 99th Avenue
Wake Court from 99th Avenue to North cul-de-sac
Xebec Street from Edgewood Road to 99th Lane
Yalta Street from 97th Avenue to 99th Lane

Project Status as of 9/9/2022

The project consists of two phases, which can be seen on the Project Phase Map.

Phase 1

Construction activities during the week of September 12 will include:

Irrigation system repairs
Boulevard grading and restoration
Permanent mailbox installation

Phase 2

Construction activities during the week of September 12 will include:

Street grading
Installation of the first lift of bituminous pavement (scheduled for September 14)

The final lift of bituminous pavement for both phases is scheduled for the week of October 17.
