Recent City Council Approvals

• Approved a private wine and 3.2 percent malt liquor on-sale licenses for On the Green, Indoor Golf located at 12571 Central Ave NE 
• Granted a conditional use permit for indoor pickleball courts at 467 87th Lane NE.  
• Granted a conditional use permit to Mister Car Wash at 8501 Springbrook Drive.
• Granted a conditional use permit for a new Valvoline Instant Oil Change at 10857 University Avenue NE.

Recent Economic Development Authority Approvals

• Approved a resolution authorizing the sale of wetland credits for Park Construction.

October is Manufacturing Month

The first Friday of every October is officially marked as Manufacturing Day and kicks off an entire month dedicated to celebrating and acknowledging the importance of manufacturing innovation and ingenuity to our economy. Each October, thousands of manufacturing companies open their doors to the students and the community to showcase the opportunities to realized with a career in manufacturing. According to data collected by the National Association of Manufacturers, Minnesota’s total manufacturing output in 2021 surpassed 53 billion dollars and manufactures across the state employed 320,000 people with pharmaceutical and medicine manufacturing and navigational, measuring, electromedical, control instrument manufacturing sectors leading the manufacturing industry in Minnesota with the most job openings in 2021.
